Cost Control
Because fees ultimiately reduce your return and the growth of your assets, we believe that it is important to control costs. We control costs by investing in passively managed investment vehicles that have low expenses and minimalizing trading.
Actively managed mutual funds and separate account managers charge high fees to cover, among other things, the expense of analyzing potential investments to determine those that are under-priced. Because most investment markets are efficient and assets are fairly priced, we believe (and research supports) that the money spent on research is wasted. In fact, the mutual funds with the lowest expenses tend to have the best performance over time.
