Our Team

Jeffrey Harwood, President of Ventura Advisors, has been in financial services for over thirty years, and has managed investment portfolios since 1993. He earned two degrees from the University of Southern California: A BA in Economics and an MBA in finance. He has achieved the Chartered Financial Analyst® and Certified Financial Planner® designations.

Jeffrey’s professional affiliations include the CFA Institute, the CFA Society of Los Angeles, and the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). Jeffrey has served as a board member for the Ventura County chapter of the Financial Planning Association and as the chapter’s pro bono director. He also served on the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of Financial Planning for seven years.

Jeffrey has prior professional experience evaluating commercial and industrial properties, and is a licensed real estate broker in the State of California. As a portfolio manager at a national bank, Jeffrey also managed investment portfolios for individuals, trusts, charitable trusts, and conservatorships. Jeffrey has been quoted in several national publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Financial Advisor, and Money.  He has also appeared as a financial expert on KCAL Channel 9’s Weekend Morning News.

After graduating from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Lisa went on to complete a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA, Finance) at USC.  For nearly 30 years, Lisa has specialized in investment management and trust for high net worth individuals and families.  

Prior to joining Ventura Advisors, Lisa worked with Wells Fargo, Bank of America, CitizensTrust and Montecito Bank & Trust. While a member of the Family Wealth Group at Wells Fargo, Lisa regularly handled trusts and estates valued at more than $100 million.    
 
Lisa holds designations as a Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and an Accredited Estate Planner.
